    • With the current socio-cultural and political environment in the United States being more fluid and uncertain than in recent memory, international students are feeling more challenged than ever to focus on and excel in their studies, to locate meaningful internship opportunities and to identify full-time, post-graduation positions in the US/globally. In this session, Amy-Louise Goldberg will highlight a 7-step model designed to guide university career coaches/administrators in effectively addressing the diverse needs of this sizable population (collectively over 1 million university-level international US students) during typically-limited Career Center visits.
  • 10:50 a.m.: Q&A with Amy-Louise Goldberg
  • 11:05 a.m.: MNYCCPOA Business Meeting

You will learn how to work more effectively with clients who may be resistant, anxious, depressed, filled with self-doubt, or extremely negative.  You will be able to define and manage expectations and establish healthy boundaries when working with students and/or clients.
