1. Baruch College, Ellen Stein, “Starrlights: Peers Speak Careers”
Starrlights is the latest innovation of an 18-year-old peer career student leadership program hosted by the Starr Career Development Center. The Starrlights blog aids students in learning about a variety of career paths through reading about their fellow peers’ experiences. It also serves as the archive of all of the Peers’ Career Corner articles featured in our school newspaper which cover a wide variety of career events and professional development topics. By providing students with an outlet to write about career related topics of their interest, they are not only exploring their interests but also creating a lasting professional presence that represents their personal branding.
2. NYIT, Amy Bravo, “Internship Certificate Program”
The Internship Certificate Program offers many student benefits. The one-on-one career guidance from the career services professionals at NYIT help our business students acquire a better understanding of the work environment and how to conduct mature and meaningful interactions with potential future employers. Students not only improve on their networking skills and expand their networks while gaining invaluable hands-on experience but also, through the exceptional supervision they receive from Career Services, they are able to grow personally and professionally.
3. Baruch College, Jun Ishidoya, “Rising Starr Sophomore Program”
The Rising Starr Sophomore Program (RSSP) was initiated to provide sophomores a head start in their career path with a free program that provides tools and knowledge towards becoming a professional while also meeting the increasing demands in the marketplace to identify and develop early leaders.
